Senior Accountant

Full Time


We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Senior Accountant. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the profession and have completed your CPA or CA. You are a team player with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. You’re self-motivated and embrace technology.


About the role

Assist team member development including training of other team members when necessary.

Provide additional value to clients by identifying needs outside normal accounting standards, and offering services beyond compliance

Manage allocated clients directly with minimal input from Associate Directors or Senior Managers.

Review work with Associate Directors, Senior Managers and Directors as required.

Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard.


About You

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Successful completion of your CPA or CA.

Demonstrable ability to work proactively and cohesively in a team.

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to positively liaise with clients, team members and external providers.Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and responsiveness.

Maintaining a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Proven proficiency using Xero is desirable.

Accountant

We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Accountant. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the profession and have completed or are working towards completing your CPA or CA. About the role

Preparation of Annual Financial Statements;

Preparation of Annual Tax Returns;

Bank Reconciliations;

Processing Payroll;

Preparation of monthly management reports/financial statements;

Preparation and Lodgement of BAS/IAS, Payroll Tax and PAYG Summaries;

Client correspondence and enquiries;

Attending client meetings with Directors;Working with complex client structures;

Dealing with clients with an annual turnover of up to $50m


About You

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Graduate Accountant

About the role

As a member of The Practice accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all clients are serviced in accordance with our mission statement: offering proactive service and ongoing advice.

The successful applicant will assist with or execute a range of tasks, including but not limited to;

Preparation of Individual and SME Income Tax Returns;

Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS returns;

Attending to Bookkeeping tasks, including payroll;

Liaising with clients regarding tax matters and with ATO and other authorities;

General administrative tasks.

We expect a high level of professionalism and application from all staff and, in carrying out this role, you will be required to:

Ensure that all aspects of General Compliance, Accounting and Tax Return Preparation work for all types of taxpayers is completed on time and within budget;

Review work with Senior Managers and Associate Directors;

Be aware and understand weekly and monthly team productivity targets;

Maintain the appropriate level of professional development to keep abreast of relevant changes in the accounting and tax professions (as well as your personal professional development).


About You

The ideal person for this role will have 1-2 years’ experience as a member of an accountancy practice, with demonstrated capacity to execute the full range of duties outlined above.

We are looking for someone who is able to work semi-autonomously, as required, and who is confident, positive, and adaptable.

You should also be comfortable dealing directly with clients and have a willingness to learn as you go. If you consider yourself to be someone who:
